I am wishing all our readers a very Happy and Cheerful season greetings.

This is the time of the year to rejoice and be with friends and family to celebrate the holiday times.  It’s also a time to reflect upon the year that will soon pass us by.  To remember the good times and learn from our decisions that were not mistakes, but life lessons that challenge each one of us. Soon you will be making your list of goals for the 2017 year that is upon us.  Laugh, Dance, Cry – whatever emotion that needs to be expressed, just let it come forth!

LIFE EXTENSION getting older can be a positive thing for you to experience or a negative.  To some it is just another number, to others it can be a depressing moment.  It’s all on how you look at it.  My mom of 86 will tell you, it’s just another number, but some days she says; “it’s hell getting old.”  Those are usually the days she could not work 8 hours straight, as if she was in her 30’s again.   She still has more energy now than most people I know.

 

YALE University recorded a study of 660 people who were 50 or older and and asked them how they felt about aging.  The ones who were positive about it, lived 7 1/2 years longer than the others.

Researchers asked questions such as:

  • I have as much pep as I did last year
  • I am as happy now as when I was younger
  • As I get older, things are better/the same as I thought they would be.

The positive answers led to living longer, it was that simple.

 

OKINAWA JAPAN – they live longer than many people and they don’t retire. The western concept of retirement does not exist there. They fish, cook, farm and socialize until that day comes.   Men live on the average of 84 and women to 90.   If you ask them their age, they are proud to tell you their name and that they are 91.

There are many Positive age studies that have been published and they still come down to the same things – being positive about your age and being proud of getting older.  So, take a moment and have an attitude check, your life might extend just a little longer.

 

BOOSTING YOUR LIBIDO – besides taking libido enhancing products there is a little less known secret that seems to be working.  Testosterone can be increased many different ways, but here is one that may be worth your while trying.

At the University of Siena, Dr Andrea Fagiolini and his team studied 38 men with documented disorders marked by a disinterest in sex.  Each man recorded their degree of sexual satisfaction from a 2 to 10 point scale and their testosterone levels.

In one group they were given a 30-minute blast from a 10,000 lux of white fluorescent light from a box fitted with an ultraviolent filter, first thing in the morning every day for two weeks.  The other group was given a blast of only 100 lux upon waking.

When all was completed the group who received the higher dosage of white light said their sexual satisfaction had increased to 6 or greater and they had increased testosterone levels from 2.1 nanograms per milliliter on average to 3.6 ng/ml.  The control group who received the low level of light had no increase in satisfaction and had no increase in testosterone levels.

 

“Light therapy” seems to be just the trick for assisting with increasing libido!

 

Light stimulates the production of Luteinizing hormone in the pituitary gland, this in return boosts testosterone levels.  Plus, this time of year it is good for depression and improving your mood in general.
